How Do I Know If an Assessment is Needed? People with learning disabilities AD/HD are often described by others as: 1. Dreamer: Distractible, have difficulty focusing for long periods of time, appear to be "in another world," do not seem to hear what is said 2. Anxious: Tense, uptight, perfectionistic, worried 3. Upstart: Impulsive, charming, manipulative, self-seeking 4. Sad: Withdrawn, quiet, low energy, have difficulty making decisions 5. Defiant: Rebellious, angry, oppositional Learning disabilities or emotional difficulties can manifest in these ways. An assessment can help differentiate between the two and identify the issues that are driving learning or occupational struggles. |
